The Channel of Community

A design of being a part seeking a whole - the tribal bargain. This channel connects emotional friendship with the willpower for aloneness, creating the fundamental tribal bargain: "I will work for the community if my need for solitude is honored." It is the foundation of functional community.

A channel is defined when both of its gates are active. Then the two centers at its ends are coloured in, and the energy flowing between them becomes a fixed, reliable part of the person - something others can count on.

Circuit group: Tribal

The circuit of the tribe: mutual support, agreements, resources and loyalty. Its driving question is "what do I give and what do I get" - not out of pettiness, but because that is how families and communities survive. A promise made here is a serious matter.
