Root Center

Adrenaline, Stress, Drive & Pressure

9 gates9 channels

Motor center - a source of energy. When it connects to the Throat, things can be put into action directly.

Pressure center - it builds a pressure that seeks release: pressure to think (Head) or pressure to act (Root).

When Defined

When the Root center is defined, you have a consistent way of handling adrenaline pressure and stress. You generate your own internal pressure and drive - a steady pulse that pushes you forward. This pressure can be channeled productively into ambition, physical activity, and forward momentum. You have a reliable relationship with stress: it fuels you rather than overwhelming you. Others may feel calmed or stressed by your steady, pulsing energy depending on their own design.

When Open

When the Root center is undefined, you absorb and amplify the stress and adrenaline pressure from others and from the transit field. You may feel an urgent need to get things done, to rush, to clear your to-do list - but this pressure is not reliably yours. The danger is becoming a stress junkie, addicted to adrenaline and the feeling of urgency. The wisdom is learning to distinguish genuine pressure from amplified pressure, and not letting external stress drive your actions and timelines.

Biological Correlation

Adrenal glands - produce adrenaline and cortisol, regulating the body's stress response and fight-or-flight mechanism
